Once reaching the snow line, the sun came out in small bursts making amazing rainbows in the fjords, something I was very grateful to see.

A lot of the track was steep downhill trekking with occasional wooden planks to use as steps but in the persistant rain they made it quite trecherous at times.

Once we reached the treeline then the steepness kicked in and our knees were in for a treat. Wading through rivers that had flooded in the rain added to the joy.
